Sum Blocks has no account, no sign-in and no email. We do not know who your child is, and we never will.
Nothing. We run no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind. No information about your child reaches us, and there is no server of ours for it to reach.
The chosen grade, the best score for each grade, whether the sound is on, and whether Remove Ads has been bought. All of it is written only on the device and is never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes it.
Unless Remove Ads has been bought, one full-page ad can appear after a game ends — never during play, and never while your child is working out a bonus question. The ads come from Google AdMob.
This is the one thing that reaches the internet, so it is worth being exact about. When an ad loads, Google receives what any ad request carries: device type, iOS version and IP address, and nothing that identifies your child.
Every ad request this app makes is tagged as child-directed and as being for a user under the age of consent, is limited to G-rated content, and asks for a non-personalized ad. That means the ad is chosen from the app it is shown in, not from anything about the person looking at it.
Buy Remove Ads and no ad is ever requested, so nothing leaves the device at all. Google's own policy is here: how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Remove Ads is a single payment handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card, your name or your address — Apple tells the app only whether the purchase was made. Restoring a purchase asks Apple about your Apple ID and nothing else.
This app is built for children and is treated that way throughout. There is no chat, no messaging, no user accounts, no social features, no links out to the web, and no way for a child to type anything that anyone else can see.
The purchase is placed behind a gate that asks the reader to convert four numbers written as words into digits, so a young child cannot reach it alone. It is not a parental control system and does not pretend to be one — it is there to keep a five-year-old away from a payment screen.
Google AdMob is the only third party in the app, and only for the ads described above. We share nothing with anyone else, because we have nothing to share.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. If a change ever meant collecting something we do not collect today, we would say so plainly here first.
